Everything that I ever wrote was a love letter to you.
So this is how it feels like to work on Sundays…
My agenda this week consisted of:
-NBI Clearance (Carriedo, Manila)
-SSS ID (Makati, Cubao, East Ave.) —>only to be told that I have to get it in Paranaque
-GMA Network Center (EDSA cor. Timog Ave.)
-Drug Check (East Ave.)
-Pag-ibig Fund Application (EDSA)
-BIR (Quezon Ave.)
-SSS # (Sucat, Paranaque)
-Medical exam at MediCard (HV dela Costa, Makati)
-Lunch with Mike (Ayala Ave.)
-Claim Certificate of Good Moral Character (Ateneo)
-The Dark Knight with Mike (Makati)
-Student Driver’s Permit, LTO (Makati)
With all that I accomplished, I am a certified Queen of the Streets because of my newly-sharpened commuting skills. The star of the week, on the other hand, is this:
All hail the Crocs Prima! It’s as if my feet died and went to shoe heaven.
Today, I got for myself:
1.) A pair of Crocs (Prima—surprisingly, they’re lovely) for that daily commute when I start working
2.) A handy and roomy bag
3.) A pair of pinstripe grey slacks
4.) Reading Maria Shriver’s Ten Things book
I think I made a choice already. :)
1. Editorial Assistant for PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) / fashion assistant for Preview
2. Writer for Gmanews.tv
Now it comes down to making the right decision.
Thank You, Lord! 2 dream job opportunities bagged in one week!
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up your dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close, you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
(IN TRUE DIVA FASHION….C’mon sing with me now!)
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself with words unspoken
Live your life with arms with open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
I just realized that my previous entries are mostly about the job-hunting process or the future that awaits me. I recall this scene in “The Pursuit of Happyness” where Chris Gardner (Will Smith) narrates his life and highlights the significant areas by saying, “This part of my life is called….”
After a few years, I will have many things to tell about “this part of my life.” But for the meantime, I’m rolling along.
Just got home after a job interview for an Editorial Assistant-slash-Fashion Stylist position at Summit Media.
I’ve always seen myself as a Summit girl. There’s just no other publishing company I’d devote my heart and soul to.
Let’s see what the next few days will bring. I’m praying really hard for me to be accepted.
Mike and I turn 2 months today! :)
Just submitted my Candy article.
